At a very young age, Ruth Cowan found herself lost in the world of books. Through her love of reading, Ruth developed a love for writing. Throughout her life, Ruth has found herself inspired by the life experiences of others, and now uses her own life experiences in her writing in hopes of inspiring others the way she was.
Being a mother of six and grandmother of three, Ruth has learned that nothing is certain, and there are surprises around every corner both good and bad. Through the surprises and uncertainties in life, there is always a lesson to be learned and these lessons can and should be shared with others as a way of inspiring them, through compassion and empathy while bringing some hope to them.
Ruth is currently studying English with a concentration in nonfiction creative writing at Southern New Hampshire University where she has become a member of three honor societies including the International English Honor Society. Ruth writes inspirational nonfiction and poetry that focuses on using her own life experiences to help others. She is currently working on her nonfiction novel, Suffocated, which is her personal story of living through the largest natural gas blowout in U.S. History along with other short stories.
