Aretha Welch

Aretha Welch is a Trinidadian - born writer . She has worked as a journalist for over a decade . While working in the Caribbean her work was published in a number of regional magazines and newspapers including the Jamaica Observer, Miami Herald, Latin Petroleum and the Trinidad Express. After a brief hiatus to update her skills and pursue a degree in New Media Journalism at Southern New Hampshire University, she is now restarting her career in northern California. She is currently a content creator at The Odyssey Online and CEO of the start up, The Wordsmith LLC.   Welch is also penning her first novel, a psychological thriller entitled , Postpartum Trinidad.
