We made it! Finals are done along with this year's first semester. Up next is winter break, something perfectly described by "Parks and Rec's" Ron Swanson.
1. When you finally finish that last exam or project
It is truly a wonderful and freeing feeling. I'd do a fun dance like Ron.
2. When you remember all the packing you have to do
This is extremely relevant because I have to figure out how to move my entire life from one side of the country to the other.
3. When you make it home and reunite with friends and family
Seeing friends and family after a semester of school is a great feeling, especially since I don't go home from August until winter break.
4. Never unpacking and living out of your suitcase
I normally pull my outfits out from the folded clutter that has yet to be put back in a drawer.
5. Getting real food after being away from home for the majority of the semester
Nothing is better than having Mom or Dad cook for you again after being stuck with the same ten restaurants on Miami's campus or the same simple recipes you can whip up after class.
6. Getting to do those holiday activities
I love the holiday season, and being able to do all the fun activities that come along with it is definitely one of the highlights.
7. When that one guest you hate arrives for Christmas (or other holiday events)...
If only we all had this desk...
9. When it's time for Christmas dinner
Have no shame in getting those third or fourth portions, am I right?
10. When all your friends leave you to go back to school, but you still have two weeks left of break
And what a lonely two weeks it is...
11. Trying to squeeze in all those last minute appointments
Does anyone else find that they have like five cavities after being at school?
12. Finally getting back to school with all your friends
What a sense of relief to be once again reunited with that college campus.
There you have it folks, 12 ways in which winter break can be described by Ron Swanson.
