Northern California and Southern California are completely different worlds. From the climate to the recreational activities, to even the words we use--we are pretty different people. Here are the things that make NorCal better than SoCal.
We have the wine country.
We have Napa Valley and some of the best wine that you can drink.
We have Lake Tahoe.
Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America? I'll take it.
Our traffic isn't nearly as bad.
The Bay Area can get pretty congested every once in a while, but it is nowhere near as bad as Los Angeles traffic.
We don't have smog either.
We actually have something called fresh air.
We have giant trees.
The tallest trees in the world reside in Northern California. The area is so majestic and downright awesome that parts of "Jurassic Park" and "Star Wars" were filmed up there.
We have the towns of Paradise and Weed.
Need I say more?
We have Silicon Valley.
Look at how far the tech industry has grown over the last 10 years. Imagine where they'll be in another 10 years.
Our Sports Teams are great.
The 49ers have more Superbowl wins than all Southern California-based teams, the Raiders, Chargers, and Rams, combined. The Giants have been the most dominate baseball team over the last 5 years and the Warriors look like they're about to start a dynasty.
We also have water.
We might not have much, but we have more than SoCal. We supply them with most of their water anyway.
