Oh, the college years. The years where you are supposed to figure out what you want to do with your life. The years were all those misplaced pieces of your life are supposed to fall into place. This is the unwanted pressure most kids face during these said college years. While we are warned the years will be a roller coaster, lots of people have these set in stone plans for themselves. What people fail to realize is the uselessness of having a plan.
There is no comfort at all in having one of these said plans for your life or resting easily in the fact that you think you may have a plan for your life. It is almost comical for us to believe that we can plan out every aspect and have it turn out just as we want it to. This is simply just not how the world is set up.
These college years are most definitely fun, to say the least, but they are hard. The transitioning to the school work to the upkeep of a social life can easily begin to feel all too much. It is in the midst of all of this where perspective becomes key. The Lord has a set in stone plan for all of our lives, while we sometimes may not agree with the direction of this plan or understand where it is supposed to lead. Once we put our issues into perspective and let the Lord guide us through life an immediate burden is lifted from our shoulder. Put that ease of having a plan for the ease of pursuing the lord and resting your anxieties on him and only him.
