Fall's not just about PSLs, comfy sweaters, and playing in leaves. The best holiday also happens during Fall: Halloween! In case you didn't already know this, here's why Halloween is the best holiday ever.
1. So. Much. Candy.
Even if you've outgrown Trick-or-Treating, you still get tons of candy during this time (ex. buy bags, open the bags of candy, and eat it by yourself). Also, it's the only time when candy corn is available, and we all know that candy corn is the nectar of the Halloween gods. If you don't like candy, there are still options for you, like pretzels or juice boxes. Everyone's snack needs are satisfied on Halloween.
2. It's the only time you get to dress up
What other time can you dress up as a Gorilla or a nun? Heck, you can even be a gorilla guerilla nun if you wanted to. There's literally no other time to get into costume, unless you count dressing up as the Easter Bunny at Easter or Santa during the Holiday season. If you think it, you can be it on Halloween.
3. It's the best time to watch Halloween-y movies
Everyone gets murdered around Halloween in horror movies, so why not celebrate by watching said horror movies? If you're like me and hate that stuff, there are tons of movies to watch that won't make you have nightmares for two weeks, like the Corpse Bride, Nightmare on Christmas, and all of the classic Disney Halloween movies (ex. All of the Halloweentown movies, Tower of Terror, Phantom of the Megaplex, etc).
4. You can really up your craft game
Pinterest is 25% crock pot recipes, 25% hair and makeup tutorials, and 50% costume ideas. You wanna make a functioning Light Saber? Pinterest. Want to make your dog look like another animal? Pinterest. Also, if you want your pumpkin to go from looking basic to looking like a dime, Pinterest has plenty of pumpkin carving ideas for you.
5. You can bust out your Halloween playlist
The "Ghostbusters" theme song!? "Monster Mash"!? "Superstition"!? There are literally so many great songs you that only make sense when they are played around Halloween (And if you don't take this opportunity to play some Halloween songs, please leave the building and give me complete ownership of your Halloween party playlist)
Yeah, Christmas is pretty cool. So's the Fourth of July. Heck, even Labor Day's a good time. However, none of them come close to the magic, the wonder, and the fun that is Halloween.
