The much anticipated season is finally here: fall. The time for people to start posting about their favorite things about the upcoming cold weather and activities. Fall is honestly my personal favorite but only really because of thanksgiving (I love me some good comfort food), and it is a favorite to many others. The only thing about this is, it's not really as amazing as people talk it up to be.
1. The wind ruins nearly everything.
Having a good hair day? Don't walk outside.
2. Pumpkin Spice
THIS HAS TO STOP. It's not even that good.
3. Every store anywhere literally looks confused.
Isle 1: Christmas decor. Isle two: Halloween costumes. Isle 3: Yams.
4. The "layering"
It's literally Antartica in the morning but then unbearably hot in the afternoons. People everywhere wearing sweaters and flip flops.
5. Dead things everywhere.
Dead leaves, dead grass, dead dreams of college students who just took midterms.
6. It's cold. SO cold.
Not only is it 40 degrees outside, but add in some wonderful fall "breeze" and you'll be sure to shiver all day.
7. People think it's okay to never wear pants.
Leggings are everywhere... honestly though, I love leggings so much, I'm just deciding to contradict myself on this one. You work those leggings, fam.
8. It gets dark at like.. 5:00 pm.
Nothing's more strange than it being super dark most of the day.
9. EVERYONE has a cold.
Nothing's worse than hearing the sniffles of 30 students through and ENTIRE 8 am lecture.
10. Giving up iced coffee.
Iced coffee is the best thing to ever happen to this world, but now I have to give it up and switch to hot coffee that burns my mouth and makes me sweat.
11. Chapped lips.
No matter how much chapstick you wear or water you drink, your lips will still be chapped. Always.
12. Flu shots.
Flu shots suck, but the people who constantly pester you to get one are even worse.
13. Spiders.
Cold outside = spiders hiding in your house.
Don't get me wrong, there are TONS of great things about fall: football season, bonfires, holidays, lack of humidity... but lets be honest with ourselves: it's just another season. Also, why can't it just be summer again.
