When we were in Kindergarten, our teachers asked us what we wanted to be when we grow up.

Usually, our answers were pretty unrealistic. (Sorry, Kindergarten me. You didn't become an Olympic Gold Medalist.)
But at the time, that was a reasonable goal for us. As we grew up, we were asked the same question every few years. And the answers (sometimes) got more reasonable. (Sorry, seven-year-old me, still not a Gold Medalist)

We kept those goals in mind throughout our elementary school careers. And then, middle school rolled along. And suddenly, we became too cool for that question.
In all honesty, nothing really seemed to matter in middle school. Except Hollister, Abercrombie, being popular, wearing colored pants, and finding a clique.
But let's get real, we're all glad those days are over now.

And once high school rolled around, we were asked the question again. And now the scary word came into play. And it became in the somewhat foreseeable future. COLLEGE.
And now we really had to give that question, "What do you wanna be when you grow up?" some serious thought. But now, it was phrased as, "Where do you want to go to college? What do you want to major in?"
The question seemed to keep creeping up on us more and more. And when those college acceptances came in and majors were decided, everything seemed to calm down a little bit.
Until it finally dawns on us. We ARE grown up. Now, it comes down to us, and what we really want to do with our lives. And more importantly — how do we make it happen.
In the end, it doesn't really matter what we choose to do with our lives. What matters is that we choose something that makes us happy. We hear it all the time, "If you do something you love, you'll never work a day in your life." So chase it. Find that passion, find that love. And go after it.
(By the way — 21 years old. And still no Olympic Gold medal.)
