2015 was a challenge, and it brought about change and discussions that I never thought I would have to face. Just when I thought I had it under control, 2016 snuck up and overtook the reigns. I do not believe any one year is better than another, for each teaches different lessons. In 2016, I learned discernment and patience. I was challenged to look at life from different angles, and to take into account those who are affected by my actions both big and small. I sought to be the greatest friend that I could be. I ran towards opportunity, letting my heart hope more than it ever had before. And I worked harder than I ever had before.

Adventures became memories and memories became something that united all of us. With time they will come to hold more value. From every experience came a lesson, and a new chapter to put in our books. New friends brought new laughs and new memories. Old friends stood beside me while people found their place. To watch before engaging, to listen before speaking, to love instead of hating, and to let go when the time comes.

I am proud to say that this year has been one of learning. I reflect back and smile upon everything that happened with great joy. Because of this I anxiously await 2017 with great excitement and I hope that each day will hold just as many if not more laughs, love, and memories.
