Since I am a writing and linguistics major, I would like to gain experience in my field by writing for The Odyssey. I read the New York Times every day, so I stay up to date on all current events. I enjoy playing around with humor in my writing as a way to attract readers. No one wants to read about the Ebola outbreak or ISIS unless it's lightened up a little bit.
