Sydney Czyzon

Hey, I'm Sydney. I'm originally from a southern suburb of Chicago but currently reside in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I'm a first-year student at Marquette University, studying journalism and political science. I love writing and always have since I was young. Journalism stood out to me because I think it's the driving force of democracy. It provides truthful facts and context, fostering conversations. Plus, being a journalist allows me to educate myself while simultaneously educating others (If you haven't guessed, I'm one of those people that loves school... academics are really important to me). I hope that through my writing, I am able to resonate with others and speak my truth. Through the Odyssey, I hope I am able to provide personal insight, explore topics I am interested in, and report on everything from hard news to controversial matters. Some other things about me: I love cats, dessert is my favorite kind of food, I love listening to good music, open windows and fall weather make me happy, and my friends and family are incredibly important to me.
