Stacy Welch

I am Stacy Welch from a small town called Lake Arthur, about an hour away from McNeese State University. I'm a Psych major in my senior year and have commuted for 4 years now and spent a good amount of time on campus. I have made a few friends but never got involved in many school groups or activities. I do a lot of observing, though. The focus of my Psychology clinical study will be finding a relationship between student's perceived stress and their academic performance (Don't forget to sign up for it in Fall 2016). I speak to many students daily from many different backgrounds, mainly because I am friendly. I notice the difference in class performance, student's average struggles and attitudes toward outsiders of students from different backgrounds, current living situations and lifestyles. This is something that interests me very much and I am anxious to complete my study in order to see whether any of these things do affect our academic performance. I am also interested in writing and sharing with others my observations and thoughts and the people I meet and situations I encounter. I also enjoy writing about equal rights, freedom of speech and opinion, bringing awareness of reality to people who don't realize the kind of information that is available to them.
