Here at Hofstra, it is rare for us students to scroll down our Facebook feeds and not see an Odyssey article being published by a writer or someone else reposting a different one. Often, I see articles about Greek life, which I do support and love, but I know that I can give the perspective of someone different here on campus. I am a active member of Danceworks Productions, the largest club here on campus; I sit on the Danceworks Executive Board as the Social Chair.
Being only twenty years old, my life has been short so far, but somehow, so much has already happened to me; I have so many stories to tell, so many thoughts that others can relate to. Whether it be going away to college, making new friends, coping with the loss of a loved one, or deciding which Ben&Jerry's flavor mixes well with which Netflix show, I always have thoughts racing through my mind, I always have something to say. I want to use the popularity of the Odyssey to raise positivity here on campus, spread awareness of issues, and to give students a good chuckle every once in awhile. The Internet is becoming more powerful everyday, I want to take advantage of the ability it has to get voices of students spread across the nation within no time.
