Ryan Mckern, NOLA resident, is a man of many projects. Formerly the singer of US Black Metal band Wolvhammer, he's recently worked on a Industrial Noize project with Mike IX Williams (Eyehategod, Arson Anthem, Outlaw Order) titled: The Guilt Of... and is recording with T.Roy of Sourvein in the band Fever. Also heading bass on Punk Blues band Penguins with Knives, Nola Doom act: Knight, Bounce remixes in his DJ project titled: Barnabrah Collins, which he has made metal hip hop remixes of Bounce legends Big Freedia and 10th Ward Buck. Periodically he can be seen in Mardi Gras parades playing trumpet for the brown coat brass band, and many others. Published in Oregon, and New Orleans for his poetry, Mckern's full book of poems and stories is to be released in 2017, but fans can read more of his works on his blogspot page, ryanmckern.blogspot.com as well as youtube.com/users/ryanmckern. With two recipes published online by Louisiana Hot Sauce Co. Ryan continues to follow his passion in the culinary arts. From his 19th century imagery based dark poems, to his folk noir and Gypsy solo music, and to his New Orleans and Hatian influenced Cuisine, Mr. McKern continues to push the envelope in the artistic field for which he chooses to explore.
In 2011 he released a solo album, A Long Beaten Road, in aid of Gulf Coast Restoration.
