Within the past few years, society has seen a shift in attitudes in regards to LGBT people. Despite the fact there is much work that needs to be done, I think it's important that people hear from these once silent voices. As a transgender woman, the Odyssey is the perfect place to help educate and provide some insight into the world of the LGBT community. As a community, it is incredibly important for others to be informed and for people like myself to be able to share my story and the stories of others. I would love to use the Odyssey's growing platform to educate, interact and network from the perspective of a transgender woman.
