One thing I am passionate about in life is writing. I have been writing since my first year of middle school, mostly creative, (of course) and I have slowly progressed to short stories and poetry. Poetry is a large aspect in my life which encompasses not only the way I perceive the world, but how I act to others. I enjoy the interpretational aspects of other poetry and formulating my own ideas as well. My major doesn't exactly say "writer",(it says I am going to dedicate over half of my life to schooling and maybe after that will I have made a difference). Choosing to major in Neuroscience was a big step for me. Personally, having direction give me promise of a future. What that future entails, I do not know, but I will have more time. I will have more time to discover and learn how to be the best person I can to make a difference and not only that but maybe get some writing in on the side. I am one of those people who carries a tiny notebook full of silly one or two sentence fragments that pop up in my head over the day. And every time I think to myself, "This is it, this is what my story will be about!". Then the day goes on and I forget about my momentary genius and most likely scratch it out later. To be honest, though, that is what life is; getting ideas and thinking they are the greatest thing and then scratching them out. Us humans change our minds from minute to minute, nothing in life is constant, so neither is writing. I just go with it.
