I'd like to be able to respond to works that have been written, but in a way that makes others think about the original in a new light. I'm an English major, and philosophy minor, so I've become used to "problematizing" things I read. In other words, I read to look for what the author has, in my opinion, right, but also for what might be wrong when looking at the topic from another angle. I recently read an article about how a young woman is claiming why she is "so over" feminists, and on my Facebook home feed it has gotten a few shares. This disturbs me, enough to make me desire to write a response. But if I'm going to try writing a response to just one thing, that wouldn't be worth it. I can respond to many issues, and create my own responses to problems as well. This is what I wish to do, to find a way of "problematizing" in order to get new thoughts circulating for others.
