Malaika Rosenfeld

I am a pacific northwesterner at heart currently living in the midwest, which has been hard on my passion for marine biology and the ocean but has given me a good appreciation for other perspectives and experiences. I also love to read, memoirs in particular, and go backpacking. I want to write for the odyssey because of the way it allows students to express issues, both serious and more humorous, in a way their thoughts can be taken seriously and shared widely than just a close group of friends. I am interested in journalism as a career and think this would be a great place to start getting experience.
