Mackenzie Hard

I am a sophomore in college, attending the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, where I am studying English and applying to get into the College of Education. I love bright, preppy colors; anything monogrammed with unique accessories that makes life so much more exciting! I over-plan and over-think everything and practically live by picking my favorite clothing from my closet days before an event. Planning, organizing, and making things beautiful are activities that I love doing. I like to believe that I am a “true prep.” I love Lilly Pulitzer, and am a sucker for anything seersucker, scalloped, or classic.

I have a deep passion for learning about different ideas as well as different aspects of life. With these articles, I hope to share these ideas. Let me be honest up front- I’m not the best writer. I don’t have a writing degree…yet! But I know how to put what I want or need to express into words. English has always been my favorite subject, so much so that I want to teach it at the high school level. It’s a subject that seems to come naturally to me. It understands me, and what I want to achieve. I feel that the best way for me to show my love for the English language and literature was to pair it with my other loves of fashion and life in general.

I like to believe that I live an extraordinary life. Hard work, friendship, family fashion, and laughter have gotten me this far. I would like to share all this with anyone willing to listen. This is going to be an adventure.
