Who am I? A question that never fails to incite an existential crisis.
Yesterday, Professor Ulanowicz led a discussion on narrative. She purported that individuals are constructed by narrative. In fact, we were designed to tell stories.
Even within normative, social conventions we relate through narrative. Our relationships are based on the stories we exchange.
So week in and week out, I share thoughts and experiences from the cosmic joke that is my life.
If I were to answer the aforementioned question now, the way I would narrate myself today might change...even by tomorrow.
Therefore, penning a biography seems a fleeting exercise since my story is ongoing.
Suffice it to say, that I am a student of life.As long as I am living, I am learning.
“'Cause I got a couple dents in my fender/ Got a couple rips in my jeans/ Try to fit the pieces together/ But perfection is my enemy/ And on my own I'm so clumsy/ But on Your shoulders I can see/ I'm free to be me.”
