As a college student who loves and reads Odyssey articles on a daily basis, I have seen how powerful these pieces can be. I would like to use the Odyssey to bring together my fellow Cape Codders but I also think it's important to point out some of the issues present in the community. Cape Cod is home to some of the wealthiest of families, and with this wealth comes a sense of privilege and entitlement that permeates every facet of life there. As someone who has finally left the comfort of the Cape, I am realizing how toxic that environment can be. It's my hope that I might be able to change this money culture or at least bring together the younger generation of "Cape Codders" who recognize that as beautiful as the Cape is, it's not perfect.
