Katie Bell

I am passionate about using the Odyssey Platform to unite the community of college students around the country and be a positive influence in today's society. I am an outgoing, energetic 20 year old who believes in the power of people and communication as a way to save lives and empower people to become the best versions of themselves. I have a wide variety of personal trials and triumphs that allow me to relate to the real life struggles that growing up entails.I have struggled with an eating disorder, mental illness and have grown up with a brother who has special needs. I am stronger because of my past experiences and I through my words I am able to inspire others. I have learned about love, faith, failure, compassion, perseverance, determination, empathy and so much more. Humor and faith are two of the most important components of who I am. I am quick to make a joke or see the lighter side of tough situations. God has carried me through all of my experiences only to be an example to other people. All in all I am your average hardworking student, disney movie watcher, chocolate eating, crafty college girl who listens to everything from Tori Kelly to Florida Georgia Line and everything in between. Just trying to write my way through life and make a difference. One of my favorite quote is from C.S. Lewis, "What draws people to be friends is that they see the same truth. They share it."
