Katelyn Jackson

My name is Katelyn Jackson and I am a current senior at the College of Charleston and member of Zeta Tau Alpha. What I most want to convey to current Greek Life members and readers of the Odyssey is the importance of fully embracing and taking advantage of all the opportunities our respective organizations provide us with. Since I come from a small town in Pennsylvania, I was amazed by the different experiences both Charleston and sorority life offered me. Why I most want to write for the Odyssey is very much along the same lines as to why I became VP 2, New Member Educator of my Zeta chapter. During the last three years, I have participated in many of the activities, committees, and volunteer opportunities offered by Zeta, all the while accumulating countless experiences and advice, which I want to share with other Greek Life members. Through my writing I hope to encourage others to go out and acquire experiences of their own. Also, I hope to act as a source of inspiration, providing alternative solutions to problems frequently faced by other chapters across the nation. I would love to be apart of a collaborative source, such as The Odyssey, since it reflects the current desires and interests of the national Greek Life population and acts as an engine for the spread of ideas and progress wherever its readers are active in their respective communities.
