Jessica Ricks

Hi everyone, I'm Jessica! I'm a senior at Towson University majoring in journalism with a minor in creative writing. As you may have guessed, I love to write.

I started writing when I was really young and for a long time I mainly did creative writing. It was always my dream to be a famous author. In high school I got into news writing when I wrote for the school newspaper and I found that it was something I really enjoyed. I’ve continued it since then and here I am as a journalism major, writing for my college paper The Towerlight where I have my own column, and now writing for The Odyssey.

I've always found that I express myself better through writing and I always have new ideas and opinions. Here's a little glimpse into my mind.
