My name is Hannah Raye Jeffery. I'm a full-time student at Alma College perusing a double major in Biotechnology--a relatively new field--and French, and I believe that the most productive way for students to make use of their time is to volunteer it to causes that they love. I am the chapter president of the Food Recovery Network initiative at my school, called the Alma College Food Recovery Network Project. Since we believe that wasting uneaten food is jank, we work hard to collect what goes uneaten on our college campus and deliver it to groups in the community that need it. If you'd like to learn more about FRN national or how to start a chapter at your own school, please visit their website: http://www.foodrecoverynetwork.org/
I'm also involved in Relay for Life and an ongoing watershed ecology project. Alas, I don't have a lot of free time between schoolwork and volunteer work, but I still enjoy watching anime with my roommate on weekday nights and writing for the Odyssey. Also, doge memes. My joy, you could say, lies in the little things.
