Growing up in NYC and moving to Chicago for college has made me open-minded, determined, and free-spirited. I have a passion for learning, exploring, and experiencing as much as I can, wherever I am. My love for photography developed throughout high school as a way to hold onto the moments I was afraid my memory might fail to remember, but this hobby has become a form of expression for me. My favorite subjects to photograph are people in their natural element, unaware of my camera. I adore capturing the true emotions people are feeling at a specific moment in time, whether while glancing at a piece of art or conversing on a sidewalk. I believe these instances tell a story and convey a feeling that is sometimes less eloquently told or understood in words. Working with The Odyssey would give me the chance to expand upon my experience writing for the yearbook in high school while also encouraging me to constantly seek out new subject matters and improve my photography skills, thus opening my eyes even more and making me a better artist.
