Emma Schurmeier

I have literally loved to write ever since I could hold a pen, and it has been a dream of mine for while to get to write for a publication like the Odyssey. From the time I was a little girl who wrote nonsense stories on paper napkins in restaurants to the moment I enrolled at Chapel Hill as an intended English major, I knew there was a purpose for my burning desire to write. My main goal for all of my future writing is for it to have a positive impact on those who read it.

I am beyond excited to be a member of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's class of 2020, and can't wait to see where the next four years take me. Other than all things Carolina blue, I love dogs, Chipotle, Netflix (particularly Gossip Girl, The Office, and Parks & Rec), Taylor Swift, Mustangs, and reading just about anything I can get my hands on. I'm also a huge fan of Tyler Hansbrough, and if you don't know who he is, you will within five minutes of meeting me.
