Emily Via

I'm Emily, a second year sociology student studying at New College of Florida, a small public liberal arts school in sunny Sarasota. I love staying involved on my campus to keep New College safe, fun, and quirky. I have always loved writing, whether it be article-style pieces, poetry, or creative prose and vignettes. I also love makeup, hair, fashion, and all things pop culture! Above all of this, I'm most passionate about catalyzing change and working in favor of minority groups both on my own campus and in the world at large.

Because I love making these kinds of changes, I want to eventually get my law degree to become a human rights lawyer. Though anything can change, I think it would be great to combine my passion for international development and connection with my love for social change to work on human rights internationally.
