Elizabeth Smith

I will utilize the Odyssey's platform to bring my personal perspectives to the community by sharing stories or thoughts that I am having that I feel would be beneficial to others. For example, college is a difficult time in life, and I know that I, personally, enjoy reading the Odyssey to get some advice and comfort for whatever I am going through. I have been through a lot, and I want to write so people know they are not alone, even when it feels that way. I am also very passionate about service, so I would like to bring my perspectives to the community's conversation to inspire others to become involved in service and helping others. I can write about local events that are going on that do not get much attention, and I provide personal insight from my experiences. I can provide ideas for people who want to get involved but do not know how. As a marketing major and public relations minor, I love to write and use creative approaches to reach people. I know that the Odyssey's articles have helped me immensely on my college journey spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, and I would like to provide the same help to others. Life is hard sometimes, so it is always nice to be able to sit back, read a good article, and remind yourself that it's all going to be ok.
