I'm here (finally) writing this prompt because of many hours of article browsing. This browsing and reading often times had me saying to myself "Wow [insert topic here] would be really cool to write about. I wish I had somewhere to write about it." In those moments up until now, I hadn't realized that right here was where I could be sharing those hypothetical articles. I have a content-specific blog of my own about beauty. While I enjoy writing on that platform, I am limited in what I can write (after all, it is a beauty blog, where readers can expect posts about beauty). My inspiration comes in sporadic bursts at random times. For example, one day I could be in the shower when I think about how my experience growing up by the ocean would be something fun to talk about. The next day, I could be sitting in a lecture, where lose myself in a day dream creating a list of my favorite Taylor Swift lines (see what I did there?). What I'm saying is that I would love to turn these ideas into content as a writer for The Odyssey, not only for the experience, but to improve my writing, meet new people, and to be a part of a community within my university that is as passionate about writing as I am. I hope you will consider me for your team as I am reliable, very open to constructive criticism, work well with others, and I have a good sense of humor (yes, I believe this is important).
