Drew Dudley

Writing has always been my passion. From a young age I loved making up different people in different places and giving them a narrative. My grandma every Christmas would ask for a piece of my writing, whether it was a short story, an essay or a crappy poem. She was the one who really encouraged me to pursue my writing. One summer during high school I was lucky enough to have to opportunity to study abroad at the University of Oxford. As a part of that program, I majored in Creative Writing and minored in Drama. My professor for my Creative Writing section was a published author who shared with us his process and helped us find our personal voice within our writing. My passion for writing grew ten fold that summer and has continued to grow since then. I am planning on being an English major and hope to some day become a published author. Currently I have a novel idea in mind but it requires a lot of research into the historical time period in which it takes place, so it is still in the infantile stage of the process. In the meantime, I want to keep up my writing skills.
