Danielle Kirby

My name is Danielle Kirby and I am a junior at University of Detroit Mercy. I am twenty one years old and have a lot of life experience for being so young. I am originally from Oregon and grew up in a very liberal and expressive city. I moved to West Virginia for college and realized that many people in the nation are still very racist and judgmental which made me stick to my roots and cherish my childhood. I recently moved to Detroit for school and couldn't say better things about the city. There is so much life, character and pride that surrounds this city. I have many stories, thoughts and experience that I believe others could benefit from. The only outlet I have found to truly express myself is writing and I am ready to share my words with others. If given this opportunity, I feel that I could bring new stories and subjects to life that have yet to be discussed on Odyssey.
