Hi!! I'm Christy Marie Quinton from Thomasville, Georgia. I'm a freshman at the University of Georgia, I'm eighteen years old, and I love people, the outdoors, and my mom's back scratches. Out of everything there is to know about me, the most important thing to know is that I get excited about a lot of things: sports (go dawgs!), Ben Rector, friends, chocolate milkshakes, and basically just life in general. However, out of all of the things that make me excited, there is no better feeling than the one I get when on the basketball court or the softball/soccer field. And because I wasn't exactly "built" to be a successful college basketball player, I had to settle for a major that would give me the most fulfillment I could find in the sports realm: sports management. My goal is to be a marketing or public relations director for the Atlanta Hawks or Falcons one day. However, as of right now, the only thing I can do to get closer to that goal is make good grades. So, in the meantime, I involve myself in clubs, ministries, and organizations, hang out with the greatest friends I've ever had (yay, college!!), and write for my personal blog site, "Just a Puppy Dawg." I'm extremely competitive, and writing for The Odyssey would be the highlight of my "writing career," as I would call it. I have had a lot of struggles and have learned a lot of lessons in just this one, short semester at college. Through writing for The Odyssey, I hope to impact others the way that its pieces have impacted me, bring joy to people on some of their saddest days (finals week will get ya sometimes), and show people that struggling with life, boys, Jesus, and friends is okay.
So there's me!! Thanks for reading!
