Chloe Compton

As the child of a British woman and a Southern Man, I've always been taught the importance of introductions. I originated from a military family and did not stay in one place for very long. Born in Yorktown, Virginia, I cultivated a love of history as well as a taste for having the beach nearby. Unfortunately, I was relocated overseas to The Netherlands for a stint. Living in Europe, I was exposed to a world much wider than the United States. By the time I returned to the United States, I had traveled to 30 different countries. I went to high school in Troy, Illinois, a small town outside of St. Louis, and eventually decided to attend the University of Illinois at the Springfield campus, where I pursue my passion of politics and communications. One day I plan to return to my hometown, where I will live every day to it's fullest.

Despite having a complicated answer to the common question: "Where are you from?" I consider myself fairly down to earth, and remain a nerdy girl with a love of history, politics, art in all forms, and food.
