Celena Todora is a doctoral student in University of Pittsburgh’s Composition Program. She moved to Pittsburgh from Fargo, North Dakota, where she received her BA in English, English Education, and International Studies at North Dakota State University. Her current research interests include community-engaged pedagogies, prison literacy, critical pedagogies, and civic engagement in composition pedagogy. She volunteers as a writing tutor with the Pitt Prison Education Project. Her work explores community literacy scholars’ navigation of power imbalance in university community partnerships.
