Catherine Pigg

I am a 20-year-old student journalist studying at the University of North Carolina at Asheville. I grew up in Matthews, North Carolina. I come from a diverse family. My mother is originally from Mongolia and my dad is from the United States. They met, fell in love, got married and ended up with two daughters. I'm proud of my family as well as my Mongolian heritage. I aspire to continue writing in order to become a successful journalist later on in my career.
