When I was 16 years old I was introduced to the world of literature and philosophy via Albert Camus' The Stranger. At the time I could not even pronounce the world existentialism, yet despite this I immediately recognized something in the novel that resided deep within myself. Upon completion I threw myself into the world of academia not because I perceived it as a possible career path, but instead because I knew I was yearning for the answers to the questions of morals, ethics, and meaning that literature was bringing about.
