I am a writer, a reader, an artist, and a communicator. In fact, my goal is to pursue a career in Communications at Saint Anselm College.
Another of my goals is to write for The Odyssey because I strongly believe in the power of the written word to unite us, inspire us, and inform us. These are the reasons I write.
The Odyssey provides a powerful platform for writers, like myself, to tell the important stories of our world and our generation, to communicate thoughtful viewpoints, and share information. I can't think of a more important mission.
My published writing to date includes three academic papers published on ResearchGate and Academia, several pieces that were selected for publication in my high school's annual creative arts magazine. I also create content for a blog I developed for victims of bullying; and I am responsible for writing about college and tips for high school students for the National Society of High School Scholars.
If one were to ask my readers about me, they would likely say that I am drawn to opportunities to tell untold stories, to look at issues from all angles --including a few new ones, and that I was born to write. I would add one more thing to that list: I strive to communicate with balance, honesty, and authenticity.
Writing for The Odyssey will not only satisfy my love of writing, but will also give me the opportunity to tell the untold stories to a broader audience, and become a more meaningful contributor to the future of news media and my generation.
