Annie Schoonover

I plan to utilize Odyssey to promote nuanced discussions of various social justice issues (particularly focusing queerness, religion, and callout culture). I also plan to discuss media that seems to particularly resonate with my generation, as well as media that was popular during previous generations and how it looks from a modern standpoint. As a future humanities major, I plan to write about the perspectives of fellow humanities majors and our motivations for pursuing our seemingly-useless degrees. Finally, time permitting, I would like to investigate various fringe subcultures on my college campus and report on the appeal of these communities and the perspectives of the people who join them.
