College is a place to make mistakes and get dirty. I have accomplished neither of these things. This is my second semester at the University of Arizona. My first semester was a little rough. I had a hard time meeting people and spent most of my days locked in my room. This semester, however, I intend to make the most out of every opportunity. I have been searching for this cliche image of “the college experience” when in reality, I posses the power to create it. I think this is something that many college students can relate to and understand. I am an avid writer and believe that I can reach a wide audience of students who have experienced the same growth as I have. Participating in clubs and getting involved with events on campus are just some of the actions I have taken this semester in order to truly experience all walks of life. I plan to share these experiences through my writing by communicating with my audience in a relatable way. I think writing for The Odyssey will only further my development as a college student, and bring even more opportunities for growth and learning.
