Flashback to May 2012, I’m running on 4 hours of sleep after my high school senior prom sitting on a bus entering New York City from my home state of Maryland. I’m with my best friend and we’re going to EDC NY to celebrate my 18th birthday. I’m wearing a cross body purse and sandals… so you know i’ve never been to an electronic music festival before. Despite my poor preparation and novice appearance 2 hours later I was walking through the EDC gates and into one of the best days of my life. The music, the energy, the people - everything about it. I became instantly hooked to dance music and dance culture, and now at 22 years old living in New York City I love it more than ever.
