Amanda Diesburg

I grew up in a small rural town in Central Illinois. I dreamed of doing big things all my life and upon graduating high school, I left to experience the big city of Chicago. I soon realized that my heart was with agriculture and my tiny hometown. So, I packed up and came back to Illinois State University to study agricultural communications. I still have dreams of doing big things in my life, but it took getting lost to find that I could do big things without losing who I really was. So, I have finally found where I belong. I want to work for The Odyssey because I have a passion for photography and for writing. Through these means of communication, I can inform my audience about my other passion: agriculture and how growing up around agriculture has impacted my life in amazing ways.
