Alique Wicks was born and raised in Saratoga Springs, New York, where he spent much of his time writing poetry, making art, acting, singing, and dancing with community theater groups and school functions. He enrolled at SUNY Potsdam in 2012 where he studied creative writing for a short while, and after a gap year, continues his education at SUNY Adirondack in Anthropology.
