Alexa Lisitza

The best fireworks are over Lake Michigan in Chicago. Navy Pier is 20 minutes from my house and the first description piece I ever wrote was about the sizzling fade of fireworks. Books and the culmination of words that build within sentences made me fall in love with writing and literature, as well as the outreach of sharing my prose-based passion with others. My name is Alexa Lisitza and I am a Sophomore English major from Chicago, Il. I currently go to school at Howard University in Washington, D.C. where I am on a full ride academic scholarship. I hope to work at a publishing house in the future and to teach at a University later in life. Right now, I’m looking for an opportunity to work in the literary world to develop my skills while learning as much as I can about this thing we do called writing and the relationships we develop from it. I hope the Odyssey will allow me to be apart of its section of the world and that I can prove how much I will value such an opportunity.
