Daniel Acosta

I started writing for the Odyssey in June 2016. I'm originally from Los Angeles but over the last two years I have attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and Fullerton College in California pursuing a bachelor degree in civil engineering. I have been involved in in several engineering design competitions in high school such as Solar Boat, VEX Robotics, and our school's Aerospace Club. Alongside my engineering work, I have participated and currently work with the California YMCA's Youth and Government as an intern with the Model Legislature and Court and Model United Nations programs. One of the goals I have for my Odyssey articles is to balance opinion with fact by outlining the facts related to a given issue and observing how a single event relates to world in general before voicing an opinion. My work here at the Odyssey is my first foray into writing, any feedback or criticism is welcome and gladly appreciated.
