Abbey Elizabeth Block

I am a sophomore journalism major at Texas Christian University. Writing is and has always been my passion. I hope to develop this passion for writing and eventually use it within my career. As journalism major I am studying to communicate, ask effective questions, and write in a way that draws in an audience. I consider myself incredibly lucky to go to TCU where I am receiving a personalized education and living in an amazingly close-knit college community. My life has been hugely impacted by my family and the loss of my father to brain cancer in 2013. Losing my father has forced me to gain a mature perspective on life and to realize that each day is precious.
