I think I'll start by saying that I am the youngest of four daughters. I believe that sets a tone for what my life has been like up to this point. I grew up in a family of six, surrounded by music and art and influenced by a Christian upbringing and countless episodes of Jeopardy and Planet Earth. Throughout my middle and high school years, I spent many hours with a paintbrush in my hand or a microphone glued to my face. I couldn't let go of the paint brush. Currently, I am studying art at the University of Georgia, gradually discovering what I want to do with the rest of my life. I am gravitating toward printmaking and book arts or graphic design as my emphasis. I have an admiration for, I tentatively say an obsession with, movies and their scores; I have wasted a great number of hours on eighties cult classics and fifties movie musicals. I have a fondness for dogs, and I get a shot every two weeks to combat my allergy to cats. Someday, I hope to own a paper company of some sort in North Carolina and fall asleep at night next to my two golden retrievers in a clean, white-walled house, accented with green plants and copper fixtures.
