The Saint Louis Blues are a very unique NHL team. The 2016-2017 season is celebrating 50 years of class, tradition, and the love of hockey. Here's some things that make Saint Louis Blues fans different:

NOT THE HAWKS: The Blackhawks are our biggest rivalry. It's like our big cousin that thinks they are better than us because they are the Blackhawks. It seems like lately most of their fans can't even pronounce "Toews." Bandwagoners...

'The Land of the Free, and the Home of the...' BLUESS!!: Charles Glen is our very popular National Anthem singer for the Blues games. He knows the whole arena will scream for his solo, but they will also roar their own part of the song.

Bottomless Soda and Popcorn: I was literally shocked when I went to a Saint Louis Cardinals baseball game and they did not have this. Buying an $8 soda with endless refills and $7 popcorn with endless refills is actually a good deal depending on who you are. I make sure to get my worth of those when I get them!

Towel Man: He has been coming to Blues games for over 25 years now. He can be found in section 314 with his custom pants and '1 2 3' Blues Jersey. The crowd knows when the Blues score, that means the Towel Man is coming with his signature bell ringing and crowd pumping towels!

Jeremey Boyer: Our sassy organist. Many may not think about it, but he is very clever with his musical choices. He also gets the crowd cheering "LETS. GO. BLUES!"

You can't go to a game without running into someone you know: Hockey is a small but fun world. Everyone seems to know each other.

Vladimar Tarasenko: Even if he isn't your favorite player, you know he's a stud. He made the cover of NHL17, and the NHL All-Star team (3 seasons in a row).

The Power Play dance: No one really knows why we do it. But when "2 Unlimited" by Twilight Zone comes on, everyone will throw their hands up. I personally have seen Blackhawk fans look around Scottrade confused and ask "what the heck is this?" In all honesty, I had no clue, its just what we do. POWER PLAY.

Your wardrobe is sprinkled with Blue notes: Sweatshirts, socks, t-shirts, lanyards.... anything.

Louie the Blue Bear: In 2007, our saxophone loving, drum banging, blue bear mascot was introduced. Louie is always doing silly things and getting the crowd pumping for the Blues.

Warm ups: Everyone should know you can go to the lower bowl for warm ups (30 minutes before the puck drops). This is when the fans can get up and personal with the team. There's always a chance you could get a puck!

Ryan Reaves' fights: He went viral for blowing kisses. He knows how to take off the gloves. Scottrade screams when Reaves gets into a fight.

The Show is about to begin....

We all know this sound. Not only in the movies growing up, but the beginning of the second and third period.

Big Macs: If the Blues score 4, it's BOGO free Big Macs the next two days. I always yell, "I want those cheeseburgers!" when we get close to that 4th goal, but I have yet to actually go and get one that next day.

Loyalty: For the 50 years the Blues organizations has been around, we all know the biggest thing that makes us unique... we do not have a cup. But we as a fan base have proven we do not need a cup to love our Blues. (But it would be nice to have)

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
