My Top 10 Favorite Taylor Swift Lyrics

The Taylor Swift Lyric Hall Of Fame

Taylor Swift’s lyrics have always inspired me and there are times I spend hours thinking about her songs. Therefore, it’s really hard for me to pick out my top ten favorite lyrics from this amazing girl.

1. "Haters gonna hate." (From "Shake It Off")

Basically, the word H.A.T.E.R.S. stands for “Having Anger To Everyone Reaching Success." So yes, if people hate you, don’t be worried. Haters normally hate you for one of the three reasons - They either see you as a threat, they hate themselves, or they want to be you.

2. “I think that the worst part of it wasn’t losing him, it was losing me.” (From "I Knew You Were Trouble")

It's very easy for us to lose ourselves when we fall in love. Therefore, just keep loving him like you do but remember to love yourself too !

3. "Please don’t be in love with someone else. Please don’t have somebody waiting on you.” (From"Enchanted")

Promise me that you won't.

4. "We fall in love until it hurts or bleeds or fades at time.” (From "State Of Grace”)

To me, this is tragic. We do know what will happen to us, but so what? We will never be able to stop ourselves from loving someone.

5. "Band-aids don’t fix bullet holes.” (From “Bad Blood“)

It really doesn't matter to me who Taylor is talking about in this song. The lyrics to this song are ingenious. You can heal a rift, but the scars you have made can last forever.

6. "He’s the reason for the teardrops on my guitar. The only thing that keeps me wishing on a wishing star.“ (From “Teardrops On My Guitar“)

In love, not everyone is brave enough to speak out about their true feelings.

7. "And I just wanna tell you it takes everything in me not to call you.“ (From “I Almost Do“)

Yup. I do not call you, but just silently follow your Twitter and Instagram without liking or retweeting. Urgggh... You challenge my patience.

8. "Boys only want love if it’s torture.“ (From “Blank Space“)

Someone asked life, “Why you are so difficult?" Life smiled back and said, “You people never appreciate easy things.”

9. "Something keeps holding me onto nothing“ (From “Haunted“)

This sentence reminds me of Selena Gomez’s "The Heart Wants What Its Wants." We always know that we have nothing left, but we still hopelessly wait for something like a miracle to happen.

10. "Someday, I'll be big enough so you can't hit me. And you're ever gonna be is mean." (From "Mean")

You better watch out from now on.

These lyrics have greatly impressed me with awesome meanings and listing out these ten makes me realize how talented Taylor is.

How about you? Which lyrics are your favorite?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
