The Met has to be one of my all time favorite museums. It's so big I still haven't seen all of it. I've only been twice, but I had fallen in love with it the first time I went. Everyone has their favorite exhibits. These are my top five:

1) European Sculpture and Decorative Arts

I was that weird kid throughout school that was so deeply interested in Greek and Roman mythology. I even took a mythology class my senior year of high school. I loved it and I still do, so when I first saw this exhibit I was so excited with all the sculptures of the mythology. That is why this one makes my list.

2) Greek and Roman Art

Now, just like in the European sculptures, this exhibit was so amazing to me! I loved seeing all the different art and styles from Greek and Roman culture. It was just so amazing and fun for me.

3) Egyptian Art

This one is amazing because this is an actual tomb, and how many people can say they have seen an Egyptian tomb? Okay, maybe everyone who travels, and or has been to the Met; but still it's really cool! As you go deeper into the exhibit you also get to see the different sarcophaguses and jewelry worn by the ancient Egyptians.

4) Arms and Armor

This exhibit just makes me feel like a little girl who wished for her knight in shining armor. Looking at all of the knights and swords was so cool, I just felt transported to a different time period.

5 Modern and Contemporary Art

I am not the type of person that gets all art. Trust there is a lot of modern art I just don't understand. It is intriguing just to look at--all the different colors, shapes, and pictures. You can't help but just look at some of it and just ask what it means or what is the point. But that is kind why I like this exhibit; because it makes me think and makes me wonder instead of just looking at it and moving on.

When I was learning how to talk, I was taught both Portuguese and English at the same time. In elementary school, I started taking mandatory Spanish classes, which I did well in because of my knowledge of Portuguese. Then in high school, on top of taking Spanish, I also started taking French. Now, in college, already fluent in English and Portuguese, I'm in the process of becoming fluent in Spanish, and I have a standard high school level understanding of French.

I am without a doubt one of those people who refuses to start decorating for Christmas or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, Thanksgiving has become an underrated holiday over the years. You barely see any Thanksgiving decorations in stores; it's like they skip right from Halloween to Christmas.

Some universities only get two or three days off for Thanksgiving break. Or, if your university is like mine, you get the whole week off go go home. A whole week off is a long time. I'm not complaining, because I'd rather have a whole week off than three days, but there is a lot of down time. Here are some ideas as to what you can do to get the most out of your Thanksgiving break.

It's that time of year again- Thanksgiving Break is finally approaching. For college students everywhere, Thanksgiving is a time to relax and not really worry about homework (well, depending on what major you're in).
